For more than 31 years, the 600 Festival Association has commemorated the May races at Charlotte Motor Speedway with spectacular family-oriented events that support the growth of motor sports.
In 2016, the nonprofit association introduced ticketed concerts to the 22nd annual Circle K and Kangaroo Speed Street presented by Coca-Cola to deliver a top country music act Friday and Saturday nights. For just $15 a night, fans enjoyed music from Montgomery Gentry, Chris Young, Kellie Pickler and the Band Perry.
Other Circle K and Kangaroo Speed Street presented by Coca-Cola activities remained free to the public including sponsor displays, musical entertainment, access to a variety of food and beverage, the kids’ zone and much more.
All remaining 600 Festival Association events, including “Movies on the Campus” in conjunction with Jiggy with the Piggy in Kannapolis; “Haulers on Union,” a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series hauler parade in downtown Concord; and the “Little 600” go-kart race at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville remained free to the public.
